Anti-aging

A personalized, UNIQUE combination of the following treatments will be used, gently altering the natural aging process to achieve your desired results.

Sun-Damage & Age Spots
  • What is microdermabrasion and how does it improve sun damage and age spots?
    • Ultra-peel microdermabrasion is a superficial treatment that takes place on a microscopic level, gently sanding away the top layer of skin to help remove sun damage, acne scars, discolorations and other imperfections. It can be used alone or in combination with other treatment regimens, to reveal younger looking skin and amplify overall results.
  • Microdermabrasion can treat a variety of skin concerns on a superficial level including:
    • Fine lines and wrinkles
Dark pigmentation due to acne scars
      Rough skin
      Small scars
      Inactive acne
      Large pores
  • What is Photo-Rejuvenation?
    • Photo-Rejuvenation, also known as a Photo Facial, is a non-invasive light therapy that targets pigmentation (discoloration) caused by a number of factors. The light delivered is selectively absorbed by those pigmented spots on your skin in order to avoid damage to surrounding cells. The heating process of those specific cells is what leads to the therapeutic effect.
  • Which areas can be treated?
    • Virtually any part of your body with sun damage, age spots or freckles can be safely treated. The face, chest, shoulders, and arms are the most popular areas for treatment because they have typically had the most exposure. Both discrete spots and skin densely covered with freckles respond well to treatment.
  • How many treatments will I need?
    • We recommend 3 to 5 treatments, spaced 4 weeks apart for optimal result. That number may vary, however, depending on the condition of the skin. This is typically combined with microdermabrasion and topical products for optimal results, which is discussed in detail at your free consultation.

Uneven Skin Tone & Texture
  • What is micro-needling and how does it work?
    • Micro-needling, also referred to as collagen induction therapy, works to lift, tighten, and rejuvenate your skin at a more rapid pace than traditional therapies. As a result of your treatment, you will achieve softer, smoother and younger-looking skin with minimal downtime. A few more commonly treated conditions include, but are not limited to, stretch marks, acne lesions or scarring.
    • The micro-needling device is used create a series of tiny perforations in your skin at varying depths based on your desired results. As your skin heals, it will eliminate many of the signs of wear and damage, leading to much improved skin tone and texture overall.
  • How many treatments are needed for optimal results?
    • The severity of the conditions being treated heavily influence the recommended number of sessions. On average, for best results, you will need to undergo 4-6 treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart.  This is often combined with microdermabrasion and a topical regimen as discussed at your free consultation.
  • How does microdermabrasion help improve skin tone and texture?
    • A critical part of maintaining desired tone and texture of the skin is promoting cell turnover, where new skin cells travel from the lowest layer to the top skin layer (epidermis). Microdermabrasion treatments use a sterile crystal on the surface of the skin to speed up this cell turnover process ensuring any imperfections (age spots, bacteria, etc.) are brought to the skin surface quickly where they are exfoliated, revealing younger, brighter looking skin.
  • Which areas of the body can be treated with microdermabrasion?
    • Any area of the body can be treated alone or in combination with other modalities.
  • How many sessions are recommended?
    • The number of sessions recommended is subjective and greatly depends on the number and severity of lesions being treated combined with the desired result. This will be decided at your free consultation, as your personalized regimen is discussed.

Fine Lines & Wrinkles
  • What is micro-needing and how does it improve fine lines and wrinkles?
    • Micro-needling, also referred to as collagen induction therapy, works to lift, tighten, and rejuvenate your skin at a more rapid pace than traditional therapies. As a result of your treatment, you will achieve softer, smoother and younger skin with minimal downtime. A few more commonly treated conditions include, but are not limited to, stretch marks, acne lesions or scarring.
    • The micro-needling device is used create a series of tiny perforations in your skin at varying depths based on your desired results. As your skin heals, it will naturally eliminate many of the common signs of wear and damage, leading to much improved skin tone and texture overall.
  • How many treatments are needed for optimal results?
    • The severity of the conditions being treated heavily influence the recommended number of sessions. On average, for best results, you will need to undergo 3-4 treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart. To maintain long lasting results, you will need to come for one additional maintenance treatment every year.
  • What is microdermabrasion and how does it help?
    • Microdermabrasion treatments take place on a microscopic level.  The sterile crystals gently sand away the top layer of skin, revealing healthy cells as the damaged ones are exfoliated more quickly, vastly improving the looks of fine lines and wrinkles.
  • How many sessions are recommended?
    • The number of sessions recommended greatly depends on the depth and severity of the lines and wrinkles. Upon consultation, a more accurate treatment regimen will be recommended, which may include combining microdermabrasion with other skin tightening treatments.
  • What is a Skin Shape skin tightening treatment and how does it help my wrinkles?
    • As the skin ages, one of the most common effects is a loss of collagen, an essential building block in the structure and strength of the skin. This decrease in collagen production often results in fine lines and wrinkles. Where topical beauty products, injectables, and other skin rejuvenation treatments fall short, this device is an excellent solution.  It has the ability to penetrate the deeper layers of skin using heat energy (controlled pulses of infrared light) to stimulate collagen and elastin production, leading to the tightening and lifting effect, without damaging any superficial tissue.
    • The treatment is very comfortable and is said to resemble a warm massage in the areas being treated.
  • How many treatments until I begin to see results?
    • Some patients see some improvement immediately depending on the area being treated. However, for other patients, the results are gradual over a three to six-month period as new collagen is formed and the skin tightens. We usually recommend a series of 4-8 treatments, every 2-4 weeks depending on the severity of the fine lines and wrinkles. At the time of the consultation, we will advise you as to the number and frequency of treatments recommended for optimal results.
